Art and design are seen as distinct
disciplines, but there are natural similarities between them, and many of the
key elements are the same in architectural and interior decoration. The
elements and principles are often thought of as belonging to a set of clear
categories, and these apply to works of any purpose aesthetically computer
aided design. The elements in works of art and design are a reflection of the
principles used to create drawings and drafting.
Color (also known as hue) is a
wavelength of light. Considering a piece of art lighting, the observer may note
the range of colors used or avoided. Color can evoke emotion or symbolically
represent aspects of culture or society. Complimentary colors may create
contrast, while analogous colors create harmony. Monochromatic colors
demonstrate variations of a single color using various tints and shades. Colors
may be cool, warm and calm. It is part of design process and design concept.
Value (also known as tone)
encompasses the lighting or dark aspects of color. Value also covers the
contrast between light and dark on a scale from white to black. Value may
demonstrate depth by design firms.
The simple line offers great
variety. Lines have a position, a direction in space and a single dimension
represented by their length. Lines may run horizontally, vertically or on a
diagonal. Lines may be straight, curved, dotted, wavy, thick or thin. They
subtly organize and direct the eye of the observer, leading him through the
piece of art as if on a tour, giving direction and communicating movement.
Lines can show texture and emotion. It is a duty of design firm or design
studio.
A shape is a closed line forming
geometric or free-form/natural areas in space. Shapes may be two- or
three-dimensional. Shapes have length and width and may show perspective. Shape
as a closed line may also perform some of the duties of lines, giving direction
and leading the observer visually. Circles and rectangles are examples of shapes.
Form encompasses three dimensions,
adding depth to the length and width of shape. A pyramid, cylinder, box or ball
represents a form. Both manmade forms and organic/natural forms exist. Shading
may add the illusion of form.
Texture translates the quality of a
surface, representing its look and feel. The qualities of texture may range
from soft to hard, smooth to rough, wet to dry. The look (or implied texture)
does not have to match the feel (the tactile or real texture).
Space represents the area around an
object, within an object or between objects. Space may give the illusion or
effect of depth. Positive space represents the subject of a piece. The area
around objects may be referred to as negative space and acts as more than
emptiness. Negative space serves to balance and to highlight positive shapes.
Making
walls out of cardboard
Large rooms in your home may need to
serve more than one purpose, such as providing a living space and dinning room,
for two teenagers or creating an office space in a bedroom. Yet, you may not
want these different spaces to be connected, and building a wall may appear to
be your only option in redesigning the aesthetically room design. However,
before you invest in the expense of a carpenter, consider constructing your own
walls out of cardboard. The cost is significantly less and when you want to
alter the room again, the cardboard can be removed from the designed space.
Measure the area where you want the
wall finishes. Measure both the height and width of the space.
Gather the cardboard. Purchase large
cardboard sheets from a aesthetic design home improvement store or use large
cardboard boxes.
Cut the cardboard with a utility
knife. If you are using sheets of cardboard, cut the cardboard based on your
measurements. If you are using cardboard boxes, cut off enough of the pieces of
the boxes to match the measurements you have taken.
Tape the pieces of the cardboard
boxes together using plaster wall seam tape. This type of tape will allow you
to paint over the seams from the pieces.
Lay the cardboard wall on the floor.
Measure the width of the cardboard
and mark off every two feet with a pencil and ruler.
Fold the cardboard like an
accordion. At each two-foot mark, fold the cardboard lengthwise. With each
fold, turn the cardboard in the opposite direction of the fold before. Stand
your wall upright.
Paint the wall with acrylic paints
and a paintbrush if you want a solid color wall.
Draw images on your wall with a
pencil and paint them in with acrylic paints if you want designs on your wall.
Paint the cardboard a solid color,
cut out shapes from pieces of cardboard and attach them to the wall with glue
if you want to add dimensions to your wall. Once the glue dries, paint the
shapes with acrylic paints.
Furniture
for Bedroom
Draw a layout of the room on paper,
including measurements and placements of all doors, windows, radiators and
other permanent features. If you're computer savvy and doing more than one
room, invest in a design software service available for home decorators.

concept and design therapy for your design projects.
Measure your furniture. Decorators
recommend scissoring little cutouts to scale and label each one with its name
and measurement. This way you can simply move them around your layout to get an
idea of what fits where.
Arrange and rearrange the pieces
until everything fits and creates a nice flow throughout the room. Check
whether you will bump your leg on something when you walk through this layout,
whether the space between any two pieces is too tight or whether the layout
looks strange. Keep rearranging until you are happy with the design.
Get creative with your solutions.
All the furniture does not have to be lined up against the walls. Try placing
the bed out of a corner, diagonally into the room. If you have a big blank wall
and no headboard, try hanging a curtain rod and some curtains behind the bed to
create a focal point.
Apply basic principles, Keep
electrical equipment and wires hidden in a unit with doors. Electrical
equipment emits electromagnetic waves that can hinder a peaceful sleep. Hiding
them also adds elegance to the room. We need to install cabinet in kitchen and
bath to give furnishing a home. A design firm make interior spaces more
beautiful than you can imagine.
Place the real furniture according
to your paper layout. If you've done your homework on the layout, you'll be
ready to move right in and everything should fit just like you planned it.
