The country house style is just as popular in the interiors
as the country house itself - no wonder,
because with its warm colors and natural materials it exudes a lot of cosines

straight lines and simple shapes, a country house kitchen has quite playful
elements. These can come into play when choosing the right kitchen furniture in
country house style, but also when choosing textiles and decorations or when
designing the walls.
1. A country-style kitchen - classic or modern?
The country house style does not have to look old-fashioned,
even if it is mostly intended to remind of the good old days. If you want a
kitchen in a classic country house style, you can, for example, fall back on
heavy kitchen furniture made of robust oak. Modern country kitchens, on the
other hand, appear lighter and use lighter tones, such as white or light
natural colors, without losing sight of the country house style.
2. Plan the country house kitchen
In the case of a new build, the planning of the kitchen must begin with the decision in which room or on which floor the kitchen is to be installed. Different points of view are important here. On the one hand, existing water connections partly determine the location of the kitchen from the start. If you want to move these, you should find out about the possibilities and the costs involved. Another aspect is the desired room arrangement. In many modern single-family houses, the lower floor is dedicated to living together - often in the form of an open room concept. can be quite heavy.

4. The countertop

However, solid wood forgives scratches, as these give it its rustic character and can be sanded down again if necessary and given a new protective layer.
Another classic are natural stone slabs, for example made of
granite or marble. These look very high quality, are insensitive to heat,
scratches and water, but also correspondingly cost-intensive. Worktops made of
plastic, which are available in a wide variety of decors, are cheaper and easy

5. Wall and floor in the country kitchen
In order for the country house kitchen to convey a
harmonious feeling of living, it is not only a question of the choice of
kitchen furniture itself, but also of the appropriate design of the wall and
floor. A light wall design is ideal for a small kitchen. Plain white makes the
room appear larger and the country house furniture comes into its own. A tiled
mirror designed with chic tiles in the country house style can offer variety as
well as an appealing decoration, for example with flowers or decorative ceramics.
If you want an alternative to white, you can also consider a light yellow or
other suitable pastel colors. In larger rooms, the walls can also be set in
scene with stronger colors or patterns. Another great idea that goes well with
every kitchen is to convert a wall completely with blackboard paint into a
blackboard. This can always be creatively designed with chalk and can also be
used as a practical shopping list and for notes.
Tiles are the absolute classic for the kitchen floor. With a natural stone look, they optimally take up the concept of the country house kitchen.
