A whole room full of books is an
absolute dream for many people. However, it often appears a long way off,
after all, most people only have one or two shelves full of books at home - and
the trend is falling, as more and more people are using digital e-books
instead. However, they do not have the same charm as books and cannot
offer the same retreat as a classic library. Even today, despite or
perhaps because of the e-books, it is still a great idea to set up your own
library with a reading room.
Very few have so many books that it
is worthwhile for an entire library. The good news is that this problem
doesn't need to be resolved immediately. Instead, your library can and
should grow over time. So instead of buying numerous, sometimes even
uninteresting books right away, just to fill up the empty space, you can expand
your collection step by step. This also applies to the number of shelves:
First, only add as many shelves until it is enough to accommodate the ones you
already have. Gradually, you can then add more shelves as the collection grows
and more space is required.
If, on the other hand, you want to
set up the entire library right away, you should use the previously mentioned
option of closed shelves. Because open, but empty shelves make the library
look unfinished and therefore uncomfortable. No rush is the motto when
furnishing the new hobby room.
