Planning the decoration of a baby's room is an exciting experience, but it can also raise doubts, especially for first-time parents. Nowadays, there is a tendency to favor simpler and clean baby rooms that are practical, welcoming, and versatile and that have any element to create a focal point, such as paper or vinyl covering one of the walls. If introduce them to a team of professionals who can help you realize your ideas and add value to the space.

Today, we bring you two charming proposals from The Specialist, an architectural, interior design and decoration brand created. The Specialist offers services in the areas of architecture, design of interiors, furniture design and decoration and creates three-dimensional projects that allow customers to see more than one solution for the same space and choose the one that best suits them.

Baby room - gender neutral version

This project was developed for a young couple waiting for their first child and had as a starting point two elements that customers wanted to integrate into the decoration: a table lamp and a small plush. Since both objects are blue in color and, initially, a neutral gender environment was requested, we chose shades between blue and gray with mint and yellow appearing as more expressive notes. Meanwhile, customers knew the baby would be a girl, so they asked The Specialist to introduce pink to the proposal.

In the images above, we see the initial proposal in relation to which the second proposal (which follows) diverged only in the details in shades of pink and coral, colors that did not assume dominantly, but integrated with what had already been thought of initially.

The baby's room is divided into two essential areas: that of the cradle and dresser (which also tends to serve as a changing mat) and the area consisting of an armchair, ottoman and bookcase. The chair, at least at an early stage, is extremely useful for parents as they can pack, feed or watch over the baby, while they are also comfortable. In this case, the piece appears complemented by an ottoman that can serve as a footrest and a floor lamp so that this corner does not lack light. The shelf takes the form of a tips tent and will certainly be a very useful storage space.

Baby room - proposal for a girl

Here's the proposal for a girl. The essence of the space has remained almost unchanged. The furniture follows the same lines, but it is all in white and without notes in natural wood and, in the geometric design of the wall, which serves as a backdrop to the cradle, blue has been replaced by very light pink. The ensemble thus turns out to be even more delicate.

This is one of the great advantages of 3D projects (and working with professionals): the possibility of experimenting, changing, seeing, changing again (if necessary) and fine-tuning details until reaching a final project that is total customer satisfaction.

It's amazing to see how changing details can really make a difference. It was enough to exchange the cushion and ottoman in shades of blue for alternatives that go through the coral and pink for the bedroom to become more feminine. The curtains, wallpaper and storage solutions are exactly the same, but now appear with decorative objects that give a new decorative identity to the room. We also draw your attention to the swallows placed on the wall that add a dreamlike aspect to the environment.
