In shades of sand and turquoise blue

We started our article with an elegant, delicate and cozy dining room that is part of an apartment in Gurgaon. When we look at the set, what stands out, immediately, is the chromatic combination that has the turquoise of the chairs creating a contrast with the sand tone of the walls. As it is an Algarve apartment, it is a combination that makes perfect sense and seems inspired by the colors of the beach. The designers chose an oval table on which flows a sophisticated design lamp that brings intimacy and functionality to the space. The paintings decorate the wall and close the ensemble.

The stainless steel of the details that make the difference

We proceed to a super modern dining room (here, still under project) that benefits from a generous flow of natural light. This project was developed for a young couple who wanted an elegant and welcoming home where there was no lack of color. In the dining room, color appeared in the chairs. It is usual in modern rooms for chairs to take on a more cheerful tone in order to create a contrast. Blue, mustard, green or orange are some colors that can be considered (the choice of colors will always be linked to the style of the house and this particular division). Based on white, the designers bet on the use of brass oxide in the details. The lamp, although discreet, has an important presence in the space.

A striking piece in the dining room

An unusual lamp can be what your dining room needs to gain new vigor. This is the case of the lamp included in the proposal for the dining room of this apartment that shares the space with the living room. The decor is modern and, like the previous project, has a retro touch, but it is the lamp with geometric shapes that creates a point of interest in the area.

A screen to fill the space

Pictures, canvases and mirrors are also good decoration allies. A bare and lifeless wall is completely transformed when decorated by one (or more) of these elements. In this beautiful dining room, it is impossible to remain indifferent to the canvas with an abstract and colorful painting that serves as a backdrop for the table. The designers of gurgaon, the studio responsible for the project, chose a table and chairs set in a fine and soft sand tone that comes out highly valued with the colorful presence of the canvas. The table is crowned by three lamps of different lengths.

Scandinavian style

Scandinavian style has been the style in recent years. In fact, it still is, although the trends show us that other decorative approaches have been explored that in no way resemble the simplicity of the style.

And why complicate? Light woods, neutral colors, simple lines, light and comfort: is there any way to fail? No. Proof of this is this lovely dining room where wood, white and black stand out. On the wall, the old dishes bring personality to the area and remember that it is a space dedicated to meals. The lamps, arranged linearly, match the striped table runner.

Rustic

Our 11th proposal is to think about our readers who identify with the rustic or country style. The dining room accommodates a wonderful table (for eight / ten people) with a rough and sturdy top that is contrasted by the upholstered chairs, with a tufted back, with a more classic look. Illuminating the space is an industrial style lamp, with exposed lamps, and some wall lamps that reinforce the warmth of the environment. If you don't know how to decorate your table, we propose a vase with branches, leaves or dried flowers, as seen in this example.

For a smaller room

Round tables are the perfect choice for a smaller dining room or one that, for any other reason, wants to be airy and unimpeded. We have to admit that we are surrendered to this dining room where the wooden table, in a rich tone, is surrounded by modern white style chairs. The black lamp, also round, closes the set perfectly. This room is part of an apartment in Luanda, so the designers were inspired by the African roots that are evident in the decorative elements and colors.

Don't be afraid to use colors and patterns

We end with a spectacular dining room where the orange chairs are evident around the solid wooden table. The rug with a geometric pattern follows the shape of the table. The vibrant color of the chairs and the pattern of the rug harmonize fully and prove that introducing different colors and patterns in the decoration and, thus, escaping from the neutral tones and the most obvious choices, can work just as well!
