The importance that each division of the house has is the one we attach to it. However, there are spaces that are seen with more interest and the room is among them. It is there that we recharge and find our privacy, especially important when the family is large. It is important, therefore, to create an environment that invites rest, where we feel comfortable and that appears as an extension of our personality from an aesthetic point of view.

To stir up the decor of the room, it doesn't take much. Sometimes you just need to change the bedding, change the pillow covers, put on new curtains or even paint an older piece of furniture in a fresh, modern color. The options are many and for different budgets.

Wood covering the wall behind the bed

The most striking element of this room is the natural wood on the wall behind the bed. In this case, we opted for natural pine applied in chevron  (fish bone effect). This wall, being covered in wood, becomes the focal point of the room due to the aesthetic content it lends. At the same time, it is a material known for providing cosines to spaces, thus making them less cold or sterile.

In this room, once again, there are lamps suspended over the bedside tables. It is an elegant approach to lighting and a way to clear bedside tables, which have more space to accommodate decorative objects such as frames, jars with flowers, boxes, among others.

Warm and sensual colors

Neutral and very light tones have invaded decoration trends and will continue to be a strong presence within spaces. However, the warm and sensual tones seem, lately, to have been rediscovered and incorporated in all rooms of the house. The room we see above is an example of this. It is a room with a sensual, demure, intimate, warm and welcoming atmosphere. In the room, the wall stands out in a seductive shade of brown that reminds us of a sugar syrup pulled to the limit. The luxurious atmosphere of this room conveys comfort and, in a way, manages to catapult us into nature with its sharp and enveloping colors.

Custom storage and a reading niche

We could not fail to include this room, which is evident in the storage space built to measure around the window. Intelligently, it was possible to create, at that point, a niche that could function, among other things, as a reading corner. The niche benefits, of course, from a generous flow of natural light that invades the environment and lands delicately on white and light gray surfaces. We also highlight the detail of the television, which, because it is small and suspended, does not overload the decoration. If you want to incorporate a television in your room, do it subtly. Under the television, we find a piece of furniture, which is comfortable, which extends under the length up to the window.

A very well thought out wardrobe

In our fifth image, we come across a volume in white and wood that works as a wardrobe. The volume is intriguing since, at the base, it seems that a slice has been removed. This wardrobe, which extends from floor to ceiling, also works as a divider, creating a closet area whose mirrored wall creates an optical illusion that offers depth to the space, in addition to being functional for everyday life. If your room is large, consider this idea.

 Wallpaper

Wallpaper is an excellent way to give a new élan to the room without having to spend a lot of money. The application has its tricks - but it's nothing too complicated! - And if you get tired of paper, just remove it and replace it with another one or just paint the wall. For this room, a classic style paper and neutral colors were chosen. The gray striped pattern plays with the geometric patterns of the decorative pillows and emphasizes the black headboard. And so a room is identified.

With black I don't commit

With black, I never compromise . We are sure that you have heard this phrase in relation to the world of fashion. In decorating, however, this is not the case. Black is a color for the boldest. It is not always easy to introduce it into a space, not all spaces are suitable for this. There are many factors that influence the use of black in a room, including the amount of natural light that penetrates it and the existing artificial light. Furthermore, and especially if it is the first time that black will be used in the decoration, it is convenient to start by painting only one wall, as seen in the image, and to combine the color with lighter ones such as white, very gray light or baby blue. If you think your room would benefit from a more sophisticated, luxurious and somewhat dramatic atmosphere, take a chance on black. What do you think?

Comfortable textiles

It is sad and unappealing to look at a bed covered with a simple bedspread and with a single pillow. Do you know those hotel beds and magazine pages with a myriad of pillows, a comfortable duvet and one or more blankets at the feet? The bed in the image above meets all these requirements. When we look at it, we immediately feel like taking off our shoes and lying on it.

In the headboard area, in addition to the pillows you use for sleeping, you can place between four to six decorative pillows with different dimensions and, why not, colors and patterns and, at the bottom, don't forget a blanket. Take advantage of the seasons to change the pillow covers (and the duvet, if applicable) and change the decoration a little. So, never get tired and bored!

Custom storage

Among clothes, shoes, wallets and accessories, storage space seems to be scarce. In addition, it is frustrating to have to pack small pieces in large drawers as they are easily lost, which makes our daily lives more complicated. Who has never rushed in the morning looking for those earrings, scarf, and watch, and so on? A good solution to the problem is to buy or have furniture made with small compartments that hold your personal items and work as a display in a store. Doesn't it seem like an original idea?

Living area

The bedroom, as you know, is not just for sleeping. Sometimes, we just need that moment of peace to read a book or be alone with our thoughts. For this purpose, there is nothing like introducing a seating area inside the room. It is not always possible because the size of the space does not allow it, but if you have a corner to occupy, consider filling it with an armchair and a side table. If you are privileged and have a suite, then bet on a sofa complemented by armchairs and coffee table. You will not regret it!
